Eastern Shore Auctions, Inc. is honored to have been selected to sell the former estate of Burton "Burt" Gordy of Salisbury, MD. Burt worked for the City of Salisbury Public Works Department and where he advanced to draftsman in the engineering office. He gained an interest in land surveying and became a self- taught surveyor who was quite proud that he passed the licensing test on his first examination. Upon obtaining a professional surveyors license, he was self- employed for several years having surveyed many of Salisbury's well known subdivisions including Kilbirnie, Deer Harbour, and Fox Chase. Burt retired from the Wicomico County Public Works Department in 1999 as Assistant Superintendent after 18 years of service. Items offered at auction include a Ralph Brothers corner cabinet and other quality furniture, glassware and other collectibles.
